Saturday 17th June - SFOE Marple Carnival Stall

Jane B, Jane S, Chris, Kate, Sheila with help from Ali and Eileen from Manchester FOE participated in this Climate Day of Action.

Stockport Friends of the Earth's stall at the Marple Carnival was a huge success.

Thanks to everyone who visited our stall and supported our Big Ask Campaign on climate change.

248 people signed postcards "Is the Government doing enough about Climate Change?" that will be passed on to Andrew Stunnell MP.

The winner of our children's competition was 7 year old Akira.

Friday 9th June - CORE public meeting

Chris and Kate attended a public meeting of CORE at Manchester Town Hall about the Company Law Reform Bill, now known as the Companies Bill, to improve the accountability of UK companies, making them more transparent about supply chain issues like palm oil.
