Friday 29th September - The Big Ask, Big Month, Big Lobby

Jane B, Jane S and Chris met Stockport's Andrew Stunell MP on 29th September 2006 when we handed over hundreds of Climate Change postcards signed by Stockport residents at Marple Carnival on 17th June 2006 asking the government for a Climate Change Bill. Andrew Stunnell said he would write to Prime Minister Tony Blair and David Milliband MP to get a Climate Change Bill included in the Queen's Speech.

Thanks also to Darren, Sarah and Ralph who lobbied Ann Coffey MP and Mark Hunter MP.

Friday 29th September - Manchester Airport Submission with MFOE

Chris and Ralph joined lots of other campaigners at Manchester Airport to hand in their responses to the Manchester Airport Master Plan consultation. Chris wore climate change sunblock, shorts, shirt and shades!    Airport Expansion Plans Are 'Irresponsible' Claim Greens (MEN Sept 06)

Friday 23th September - In Town Without my Car Day

As it should be every day!

This event was organised by Stockport Council was held in Stockport Market Place.

Chris, Jane B and Martha arrived by public transport.

Lots of other people seemed to have come by car!
