Saturday 5th December - StopClimateChaos "The Wave", London
Ahead of the UN climate summit in Copenhagen, 40,000 people from all walks of life marched through the streets of London to demonstrate their support for a safe climate future for all. Part of a global series of public actions, The Wave calls on world leaders to take urgent action to secure a fair international deal to stop global warming exceeding the danger threshold of 2 degrees C.

Saturday 31st October - Eco Day, St Mary's Parish Hall, Marple
A day spent exploring Climate Change with plays, videos, external speakers and informal talks from members of the Marple community.
Members of Stockport Friends of the Earth were happy to run a stall and to participate in the day's events.Thanks to Phoebe, Chris and Kate.
Chris B (pictured right) gave a short talk about his Electric Assist Bicycle which he uses regularly to commute to work. It has a range of 20-30 miles on maximum assist and Chris says it makes cycling up steep hills easy. Is this the future of personal transport?
