Monday 21st November - 'Vanishing of the Bees' film

Marple Methodist Church 7.30pm

Honeybees have been mysteriously disappearing across the planet, literally vanishing from their hives. Known as Colony Collapse Disorder, this phenomenon has brought beekeepers to a crisis point and is affecting the pollination of global fruit and vegetable crops. This documentary examines the alarming disappearance of honeybees and the greater meaning it holds about the relationship between mankind and mother earth.

NB. This event, organised by MESS, replaced our November meeting.

After seeing the film, it's no surprise bees vote with their feet...

Friends of the Earth are launching a new campaign about bees in the spring that will help people re-connect with biodiversity in their own environment, and globally.

The energy company rip-off is a national scandal. The Big Six supply 99% of households and make billions in profits by keeping us hooked on expensive dirty fuels. And they have the Government wrapped around their little fingers. It's time for our leaders to stand up to the Big Six and give us energy we can all afford.
