Stockport Green Guide and the Repair Directory

Stockport Friends of the Earth are compiling a Green Guide for Stockport that will help and inform the residents of Stockport to reduce their carbon footprint, support local business and perhaps save some money at the same time. Stockport Friends of the Earth are all volunteers, so it may take a number of years to complete a comprehensive Green Guide. The Repair Directory is the first part of the Guide. This has been produced in response to conversations during the Stockport Partnership Forum meeting January 2009 which involved community groups from across Stockport.

A timely repair can extend the life of many of the things we use, from a simple sewing job on a pair of trousers to a mid-life refit of new worktops for a kitchen.
