The Water Framework Directive (WFD)

The Water Framework Directive (WFD) Information covering the aims of the WFD and the timetable for its implementation can be found on the Environment Agency (EA) website.

The WFD aims to protect and enhance the water environment. It is new legislation and comes at a time when we , as a Group, are seeking to ensure the same thing. It was suggested that we monitor the progress being made by the EA towards the WFD objectives and help where we can.
